The Honorable Marie-Claire Kengo wa Dondo
Marie-Claire Kengo wa Dondo is a Congolese political and business leader who strengthens cooperation between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Poland. She heads the Parliamentary Friendship Group for Congo–Poland, focusing on diplomatic, economic, and institutional relations.
She comes from a family with strong ties to Poland. Her father, Léon Kengo wa Dondo, three time Prime Minister of Zaire and former President of the Senate, was born as Léon Lubicz, the son of a Polish doctor and a Tutsi mother. In 1971 he adopted the name Kengo wa Dondo and visited Poland in 2008 as President of the Senate.
Marie-Claire continues this legacy through social and economic initiatives, promoting women’s leadership and representing a new generation of African leaders who combine local roots with a global outlook. She serves as the Official Patron of Africa Smart Investments, supporting sustainable partnerships between Congo and Poland.
